Counter Salesperson

Job Description

Our client is seeking an energetic Counter Salesperson to assist walk-in customers, identify automotive parts, process sales, and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Location: Johannesburg
  • Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 + Commission

Responsibilities

  • Build strong product knowledge across all automotive ranges.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Provide exceptional service and create a positive buying experience.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Process sales orders, quotations, payments, and refunds.
  • Verify product compatibility and ensure correct stock and pricing.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Handle customer queries and service issues.
  • Record customer needs, trends, and product performance.
  • Attend training sessions and sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • 2+ years automotive counter sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts and compatibility.
  • Computer literate (POS/parts systems beneficial).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
