Finance Manager

Job Description

A logistics business is seeking a strategic, hands-on Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, stock controls, and operational support in a high-volume environment.

  • Location: Centurion, Gauteng
  • Salary: R50 000 CTC

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Oversee ledger, reconciliations, journals, and month-end processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/IFRS for SMEs.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  • Oversee banking, payments, and credit control.
  • Implement internal controls.
  • Oversee costing for routes, vehicles, warehousing, and cross-border operations.
  • Monitor profitability by customer, lane, or contract.
  • Analyse fuel usage, fleet costs, and operational KPIs.
  • Support procurement and vendor management.
  • Manage VAT, PAYE, and company tax submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics-related regulations.
  • Maintain financial policies and controls.
  • Manage and develop the finance team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and mentorship.

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting/Finance (Honours advantageous).
  • 5–8 years’ finance experience, including management experience.
  • Logistics/transport/supply chain experience essential.
  • Strong operational finance and cost accounting knowledge.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
